Quality Is a Process, Not a Final Step

For B2B buyers, receiving bulk production that matches the approved sample is not optional -- it is the baseline expectation. ShouFeng approaches quality as a continuous process that starts from raw material checking and runs through every stage of production.

Rather than relying on a single end-of-line check, our QC process includes in-process controls, finished product inspection, approved sample comparison, and pre-shipment random inspection. This structure is designed to catch inconsistencies early and reduce the risk of batch-level issues reaching buyers.

Starts at Raw Material

Incoming materials are checked before production begins. Substandard inputs are not passed to the production line.

Continuous In-Process Control

Production checkpoints are built into the workflow. Issues are identified and addressed at the production stage, not after.

Approved Sample as Reference

The confirmed sample becomes the benchmark for bulk production. Appearance, specs, and build quality are compared against it throughout production and before shipment.

Testing Laboratory & Instruments

ShouFeng maintains a testing laboratory with instruments to support internal quality control and approved sample comparison. The laboratory is used for production QC -- not for official certification issuance.

What Our Instruments Support

Weight

Measured against approved sample and customer specification tolerance.

Thickness

Core and overall paddle thickness checked for consistency.

Balance Point

Balance point measured to verify swing weight consistency across units.

Rebound

Rebound performance checked for face response consistency.

Impact / Durability

Impact and durability testing to assess structural integrity under load.

Bonding / Delamination

Face-to-core bonding integrity assessed to detect delamination risk.

Surface Texture

Texture consistency checked for raw carbon, SiC, peel-ply, and coated surfaces.

Appearance

Visual inspection of paddle face, edge, handle, and print quality.

* Laboratory supports internal QC and approved sample comparison. It does not issue official certifications.

Note on Certification

ShouFeng can produce paddles according to customer USAP / USA Pickleball testing requirements and provide specification support. Customers typically submit samples for testing themselves. Certification outcomes depend on the testing organization.

QC Workflow

A structured six-stage quality control process designed to maintain consistency between approved samples and bulk production.

01
Raw Material Inspection
Carbon fiber, honeycomb core, adhesives, and components checked before production
02
In-Process Inspection
Production checkpoints for bonding, layup, and structural integrity
03
Finished Product Inspection
Weight, thickness, balance, surface, print, edge, and handle checked
04
Approved Sample Comparison
Bulk units compared against confirmed sample for appearance and spec consistency
05
Pre-Shipment Random Inspection
Random sampling from finished batch before packing and shipment
06
Photo / Video Confirmation
Photo and video documentation shared with buyer before shipment is released

Consistency focus: Every stage of this workflow is designed to ensure bulk production matches the approved sample as closely as possible -- in appearance, dimensions, and overall build quality.

What We Check

A structured inspection checklist applied across finished product inspection and pre-shipment review.

Inspection Item Stage Checked
Paddle Face Appearance Finished / Pre-ship
Printing / Logo Inspection Finished / Pre-ship
Surface Texture Inspection Finished / Pre-ship
Weight Finished / Pre-ship
Thickness Finished / Pre-ship
Balance Point Finished / Pre-ship
Handle Size Finished / Pre-ship
Edge Finishing Finished / Pre-ship
Bonding / Delamination In-Process / Finished
Rebound Testing Finished / Pre-ship
Durability / Impact Testing Finished
Packaging Inspection Pre-ship

* Checklist scope may be adjusted based on project specifications and buyer requirements.

Why This Matters for Buyers

Each inspection item directly affects what your end customers receive. Consistent weight, balance, and surface quality across a batch protects your brand reputation and reduces return or complaint risk.

Sample vs Bulk Consistency

The approved sample is not just a reference -- it is the production benchmark. ShouFeng uses confirmed samples as the standard against which bulk production is measured at every key stage.

Approved Sample Reference

Once the buyer confirms and approves the sample, it is retained as the official reference. All bulk production is compared against this approved sample -- not an internal standard.

Specification Confirmation

Material, dimensions, weight range, balance point, surface finish, and branding specifications are confirmed in writing before bulk production begins. This reduces the risk of late-stage misalignment.

Production Checkpoints

Key parameters are monitored at multiple production stages. If deviations are detected, they are addressed before the batch progresses to the next stage.

Pre-Shipment Inspection

A random sample from the finished batch is inspected against the approved sample before packing and shipment. This is the final gate before the order leaves the factory.

Photo / Video Confirmation

Photo and video documentation of finished products and packaging is shared with buyers before shipment is released. Buyers can review the batch remotely before it ships.

USAP / USA Pickleball Testing Support

ShouFeng can produce paddles according to customer USAP / USA Pickleball testing requirements and provide specification support throughout the development process.

Customers typically submit samples for testing themselves through the relevant testing organization. Certification outcomes are determined by the testing body and are not guaranteed by ShouFeng. Our role is to support you in building a paddle that meets your testing targets as closely as possible.

Produce paddles to customer-specified dimensions, materials, and construction for testing submission

Provide specification documentation to support the testing process

Support sample revision if testing feedback requires material or construction adjustments

ShouFeng does not submit samples on behalf of customers or issue USAP approval certificates

USAP / USA Pickleball approval is determined by the testing organization based on submitted samples. ShouFeng's role is to manufacture paddles that meet your specified requirements and support your testing process.

If your project requires USAP compliance, please share your testing requirements with us at the specification stage so we can account for them during development.

Discuss Testing Requirements

How Our QC Process Supports Buyers

Structured quality control is not just a factory process -- it directly affects your ability to deliver consistent products to your customers and protect your brand.

Reduce Batch Inconsistency Risk

Multiple inspection stages catch deviations before they affect the full batch. Buyers receive more consistent units across the order.

Confirm Samples Before Bulk

The sample approval process ensures you have reviewed and confirmed the paddle before bulk production starts. This protects both sides from misaligned expectations.

Review Photos / Videos Before Shipment

Pre-shipment photo and video documentation allows buyers to review finished products remotely before the order is released. Issues can be raised before the shipment departs.

Communicate Issues Earlier

Structured checkpoints create natural communication points between factory and buyer. Problems identified early are easier and less costly to resolve than issues found after delivery.

Maintain Brand Reputation

Consistent product quality across batches reduces customer complaints and return rates. For private label and brand sellers, this directly supports long-term brand credibility.

Structured Documentation

Specification confirmations, approved sample records, and pre-shipment reports create a documented trail for each project -- useful for future reorders and product consistency tracking.
